Curriculum Vitae

Christoph Weyer received his degree Diplom-Informatiker (FH) in Computer Science from the University of Applied Sciences Wiesbaden in Germany in 1995. From 1998 to 2000 he worked in a joint research project of the Distributed and Operating System Laboratory at the University of Applied Sciences Wiesbaden and the Department of Mathematics & Computing at Cork Institute of Technology in Ireland. The main focus of this work was the management of distributed applications. In 2006 he received his Master of Science in Information and Media Technologies from Hamburg University of Technology in Germany. His research interests are in efficient distributed algorithms and wireless sensor networks.

His professional experiences were acquired as an independent contractor from 1995 to 2000, e.g., for Lufthansa Systems. From 2000 to 2003 he worked as a system administrator at the department of Computer Science at the University of Technology Wiesbaden, where he also taught operating systems and distributed systems as an assistant lecturer from 1995 to 2003. Since 2003 he holds a position as system administrator at the Institute of Telematics at Hamburg University of Technology.

He is a member of the special interest group Kommunikation und Verteilte Systeme (KuVS) of the German Computer Society (GI) since 1995.
